At Adventist Health, we have always made patient safety a top priority. To that end, our 17 hospitals and affiliated health care providers all have disaster plans in place, and many regularly engage in disaster drills in cooperation with local police, fire and county health departments.
Since the tragic events of September 11, we have taken further steps to prepare for disasters of all kinds, including biological and chemical warfare. We are working closely with public health agencies to remain informed and up to date. And we will continue to cooperate with local authorities should any new developments unfold.
