The California Hospital Assessment and Reporting Taskforce (CHART) was created to address the need for standardized, easy-to-understand information about health care quality and value. The Institute for Health Policy Studies at the University of California in San Francisco, the California Healthcare Foundation and other organizations lead this taskforce.

CHART is intended to become California’s hospital report card so that consumers know where to go to find the information they need to make appropriate health care choices on their own. All of Adventist Health’s California hospitals are voluntarily participating in this initiative.
